The Canon Extender RF 1.4x is a teleconverter that is compatible with Canon RF lenses. It increases the focal length of the lens by 1.4 times, allowing photographers to get closer to their subjects without having to physically move closer.
For example, if you have a 100mm lens and use the Canon Extender RF 1.4x, the effective focal length becomes 140mm (100mm x 1.4). This can be useful for wildlife and sports photography, where getting physically closer to the subject is often difficult or impossible.
The Canon Extender RF 1.4x also maintains communication between the camera and lens, allowing autofocus and image stabilization to function as normal. However, it does result in a reduction in maximum aperture by one stop (e.g. an f/2.8 lens becomes an f/4 lens with the extender attached), which may impact low-light performance and depth of field.
